Meet 2nd Intermediate IPS!

Hello, ET students and teachers!

My name is Carla Raguseo and I am the 2nd intermadiate class teacher at Instituto Politécnico Superior (IPS) in Rosario, Santa Fe.
Can you find Rosario on the map?

IPS or "Poli" is a technical school and it is part of National University of Rosario (UNR). This week our school is celebrating it's 115th anniversary!  I have been working here for 11 years and I love it! We have English classes once a week on Wednesday from 10:30 to 12:40. We also have an English Lab where we do listening and speaking activities.

My students are very curious and hardworking. They are always ready to learn new things. We are all very excited about starting this new project with you. We want to learn about you and your school. Tell us all about it! đŸ€©

Here's a photo in our classroom. 👇

This blog will be our shared virtual classroom. Read my students' introductions and leave your comments with greetings and questions! 💬💬

We look forward to reading your introductions soon!

Let's start learning together!

Big hugs from Rosario!đŸ„°

Ana Clara's introduction

Hi there!

Flag Memorial

I'm Ana and it is a pleasure for me to write this. I'm 14 years old and I'm a fan of music. I play
volleyball and my favourite subjects are geography and English, of course. I really like to study other languages, philosophy and psychology as hobbies, too.

I wanted to study at a technical school because I read the "study plan" of this school and I really loved the idea of having a technical high school diploma. It cost all of my blood and tears but finally I'm here and I'm happy.

My questions for you are:

Is it difficult to study at ET? Do you understand all the topics?

I hope all of you are doing well and I send you a warm hug.

Take care, Ana.

Julieta's introduction

 Hello!

I'm so happy to do this videoconference. I really don't know when it is going to be, but I'm happy.

So I think maybe I need to introduce myself.

My name is Julieta. I don't like it so much but it's the only name I have. Now I'm thinking about the things I like and probably are many so I'll try to say justo two or three.

I love reading. I have many books at home but now with the school I don't have so much time to read them. I do three sports, and I stared one of those yesterday. It is a dance, "folklore". I have two hours a week on one day so I finish so tired. At school my favorite subjet is math, I remember when I was younger wanted to be a math teacher but now I want to be a lawyer.

I really wanted someday to study at a technical school and I took a exam to enter Politécnico and I could! SO I'm happy and proud of myself for that.

Finally I have two questions.

1) What's the best part of  your school?

2) What would you like to study at university?

 HI!

My name is Magdalena and I’m a student at Instituto PolitĂ©cnico Superior. I’m in second year, which means I started secondary school during the pandemic, but I think you are in the same situation, so you can relate to my experience as a new student.

When I first started at PolitĂ©cnico, I thought my favourite subject would be math, (that's why I wanted to study in a technical school, Why did you want to study in one?), but nowadays it’s history, almost right the opposite!

My favourite thing to do in my free time is reading, my favourite science-fiction author is Nail Gaiman, which one is yours?

I hope we can meet (at least virtually) soon <3

Ezequiel's introduction

Hello,

I'm Ezequiel from IPS and I am 15 years old. Today being September 21, my birthday was yesterday. I had a good party. Anyway, my hobbies are playing football. I play futsal at Social Zona Sud. Another hobby is playing the piano, I'm a beginner pianist but I play Chopin, like "Nocturne No.9 Op.2". My teacher doesnÂŽt agree with this, but since I am an obedient studient, I pay attention to her.

My favourite subject, and I will be honest, is... I donÂŽt have one, I think it is Physical Education. I chose this because I'm good at sports, I think.

I study ot a technical school because I like  ingeneering and computing. Another reason is because itÂŽs fun to do a lot of things in one day. It isn't a lot of fun. ItÂŽs difficult to explain...

My questions are:

Is ET UBA fun?

Do you have sporting events?
