Books:

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea (Vingt mille lieues sous les mers) is the most famous novels of Jules Verne. The science fiction novel was published in 20 March of 1869. Thanks to this story Jules Verne inspired the creation of the current submarine.

It was narrated in the first person by the French professor Pierre Aronnax, a notable biologist who is taken prisoner by Captain Nemo and is led through the oceans aboard the submarine Nautilus, in the company of his servant Conseil and the harpooner Canadian Ned Land.

Journey to the Center of the Earth (Voyage au center de la Terre) is a science fiction novel by Jules Verne, published on November 25, 1864, which deals with the expedition of a professor of mineralogy, Professor Lidenbrock, his nephew Axel and a guide named Hans, they travel to the interior of the Earth and are in their adventure with a great surprise when they arrive.

Other books he wrote:

  • Five Weeks in a Balloon (1863)
  • Voyages and Adventures of Captain Hatteras (1863)
  • From the Earth to the Moon (1865)
  • In Search of the Castaways (1867)
  • Round the Moon (1869)
  • A Floating City (1871)

Our group chose Julio Verne because we read "Viaje al centro de la tierra" and "Mil lenguas de un viaje submarino", and they were just amazing for us, for some more than for others but the two of them are just great!
